The Association is committed to uniting Hong Kong Dental Hygienists (DH), offering job opportunities, and providing continuing education courses for all HKDHs. Additionally, we aim to enhance the oral health knowledge and awareness of the citizens of Hong Kong and improve the professional recognition of HKDHs.
In light of the pandemic, many activities organized by the Association were regrettably suspended. However, with the pandemic now behind us, we are eager to resume our various initiatives and expand our services to support the professional development of DHs.
In July 2024, the Cap. 156 "Dental Registration Ordinance" (DRO) was officially passed. Throughout the revision process of the DRO, the Association’s President, Ms. Charlotte Ng, has been actively meeting with the government and various stakeholders to discuss the amendments and share our opinions.
Upon the implementation of this DRO, HKDH will transition from an enrolled system to a registration system, which will introduce a series of regulatory measures and updates to dental services. The new registration system and conditions will involve different procedures and explanations. Furthermore, the implementation of the DRO will result in significant changes to the current practices of DHs.
Therefore, the Association would like to invite all HKDHs to attend this gathering event, where we will share the updates of the DRO for DHs and the Association, outline future continuing education courses, and share insights into the government’s vision for the HKDHs.
The event will be free of charge and will include refreshments, various souvenirs from different companies, and a limited-time membership discount. This provides an excellent opportunity for all you to connect, get to know one another, and gain a clearer understanding of the DRO and the Association.

1. Existing members who attend the gathering on 12 October 2024 will have their membership automatically extended until 31 March 2026, at no additional cost.

2024年7月，Cap. 156 《牙醫註冊條例》正式通過。在新法例修訂的過程中，協會主席Charlotte Ng 一直致力與政府及各界不同持份者進行會面，商討法例的修訂細節並分享意見。
新法例實施後，HKDHs 將由登記制度轉為註冊制度，並引入新的監管措施及牙科服務範圍。新的註冊制度及註冊條件也會涉及各不同的程序及解釋。而且，新法例實施後，也會對現時DHs的執業帶來新的變化。
因此，協會誠邀各位 HKDHs一同出席本次聚會，讓各位了解DHs的新法例、最新協會會務、協會未來提供的進修課程以及政府對DHs未來的發展方向。
